He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

The lockdown has been tough for many and Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned that things are likely to get a lot worse before they get better.

As the death toll hit 3,605 yesterday Health Secretary Matt Hancock told the public that staying at home was an instruction and "not a request." While officials cannot answer how long we could remain in lockdown, it seems this could go on for months.

But while there are of course a raft of things that are getting worse and suffering we are seeing many positives of being placed on lockdown.

After a decade of austerity and four years of a nation torn in half by the Brexit debate, Covid-19 has reignited a sense of community in Britain.
