The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has said there were 982 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the week to last Saturday.

While this represents an increase of 135 on the previous week, it says technical issues resulted in the delayed reporting of cases for the previous week, and these are now included in the latest week's figures.

ICU admissions resulting from Covid-19 remain "low and stable". There were 404 hospitalisations in the week to last Saturday, up on the previous week.

Two deaths were also reported. Overall, the HPSC says Covid-19 levels remain at moderate to high. It said there is no evidence that any of the strains in circulation are associated with more severe disease.
