Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will "deputise where necessary" for Boris Johnson while the PM is in intensive care, Downing St have confirmed.
Mr Raab, who is also First Secretary of State, was deputised by Mr Johnson before the Prime Minister went into intensive care earlier this evening.
Boris Johnson was admitted to St Thomas' hospital in Westminster on Sunday after his coronavirus symptoms persisted for 10 days.
Speaking on the BBC after the news broke Mr Raab said "the government's business will continue" as he stressed that the "Prime Minister is in safe hands".
