Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross will make an emergency statement on the general election this morning.MSP Ross will chair an unplanned press conference in Edinburgh amid speculation he could stand again for Westminster. The drama comes after David Duguid, who was an MP for the party, was not selected as the candidate for Aberdeenshire North and Moray East constituency. He is still recovering from a spine injury.Ross, an MSP and MSP, was due to stand down from Westminster at the election but seat that was eyed by Duguid resembles Ross’ old constituency. However, standing again would open accusations that Ross is not committed to Holyrood. He has been dogged by claims he is a ‘three job’ politician after also working as a linesman. This is a breaking news story - more to follow.
