A huge emergency response was called to a hotel in Manchester on Monday afternoon (February 3) following a serious incident.
Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to a concern for welfare report at the Holiday Inn, which houses asylum seekers, on Oldham Road near to Newton Heath at around 4.30pm.
A man, whose age was not confirmed, was taken to hospital from the scene after a fire was reportedly started in one of the rooms.
His condition is understood to not be described as life-threatening or life-changing. Fire crews also attended the incident to distinguish the blaze on Monday afternoon.
