Emergency services were called after the driver of a Land Rover mounted their car onto Ford vehicle in a car park in Wilmslow.

The smash happened in a car park off Alderley Road yesterday (Sunday) at around 3.10pm, Cheshire Police confirmed. Eyewitnesses told the Manchester Evening News it was in the car park of Sainsbury's.

Pictures showed the front of a white Land Rover Discovery mounted onto the bonnet of a parked black Ford Tourneo. Police officers, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene. No arrests were made. In a statement, a spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 3.10pm on Sunday 12 May police were called to reports of a collision on a car park off Alderley Road, Wilmslow.
