Emmerdale's Charley Webb 'abused' in shop as she asks people to keep distance

Emmerdale's Charley Webb has hit out at supermarket staff and shoppers for not following guidelines issued by the government in a bid to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to Twitter, the actress claims she was abused by fellow shoppers when she asked them to stand two metres apart. Charley, 32, who is best known for portraying Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap replied to Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan who was claiming that Britain needs to "properly lockdown".

It comes a week after Boris Johnson announced the UK was to be placed on lockdown for three weeks to tackle the deadly virus.
