An 'emotionally drained' nurse at Wigan Hospital has been left unable to get to work after her car was stolen by thieves. Amber, 28, left her house to begin another shift in the A&E department of the hospital - only to find her black Audi A1 car was missing.

Burglars had smashed their way into the car, owned by her boyfriend, and found the keys where she unfortunately left them in his glove compartment, the Liverpool ECHO reports.

Amber, who did not wish to give her surname, has now been unable to get to her shift today on the front-line against coronavirus and is awaiting a courtesy car.
