F1 inform Boris Johnson Silverstone will lose double Grand Prix if quarantine rules stand

Formula One bosses have put pressure on Boris Johnson to by warning him if the British Grand Prix doesn’t go ahead the race will go to Germany.

F1 chiefs are desperate for the government to grant them an exemption over 14-day quarantine on travellers arriving in the UK.

With the F1 season majorly disrupted amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, two races at Silverstone are planned for July and August dates.

But if the exemption is not forthcoming, the British GP and a second round will be staged in Hockenheim, Germany. The Prime Minister is set to make the final call on British GP plans with current government guidelines making the Silverstone race difficult.
