The PM's aide Dominic Cummings is facing calls to resign after it was revealed he ignored the coronavirus lockdown rules not once but twice.

Boris Johnson's top adviser triggered widespread anger yesterday when it was revealed he travelled from London to Durham with his wife when both had coronavirus symptoms.

Also in the car was the couple's four-year-old son. Now it has been reported the controversial official was spotted with his wife in Houghall Woods near his parents' Durham home two weeks after he was first spotted.

At today's press briefing at Downing Street, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps claimed Cummings hadn't broken the rules by travelling so far from home while he had symptoms because he hadn't left the house when he arrived
