NEWARK, De. - A Delaware woman is facing charges after police say she used a stun gun on a teenage boy during a confrontation at a local park last month.It's alleged that 66-year-old Louis Bert was walking her dog on Lynn Drive in the Green Valley Townhouse community on May 20, when she engaged in a conversation with a 14-year-old boy who was at a park with friends. Bert, according to police, left the park and returned 30 minutes later carrying a "black object." Police say she approached the teen on the swing set and after a brief exchange used a stun gun on the teen's back.The victim, his friends and Bert all fled the park, according to police. She was spotted by police in the Green Valley Townhome Community and taken into custody after being positively identified. Police say two stun guns were taken from Bert's home during a search.

BENSALEM, Pa. - A Bucks County teen is using his differences to build a brand that supports people with special needs and raises money for people with down syndrome. 19-year-old Nolan Slaweski is preparing to graduate from Archbishop Wood High School, and as he walks to the stage in his cap and gown, he'll be holding his head high knowing he has a diploma and his own small business. Two years ago, after Nolan came home from Tim Tebow's Rising Light Ridge camp, he introduced a new saying to his mom, which is how the brand, "Built Different," blossomed. "He knows what he wants, and he went to camp and came home saying, ‘I’m built different,'" said Nolan's mom, Colleen Slawesk. "I thought that's such an amazing thing for him to recognize his differences."Nolan has down syndrome, and he began designing t-shirts, hats, and other items, all branded with his saying, "Built Different." He started selling the merchandise two months ago on World Down Syndrome Day, and he hasn't looked back since. "Everybody is different, just like me," said Nolan.

He was shot in the back and abdomen several times.Police rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he died.Officials say no arrests have been made, but a weapon was found.

NEW YORK - Daniel Penny, the 24-year-old Marine veteran at the center of Jordan Neely's choking death aboard a subway train last week, has turned himself in to police to face a criminal charge over the incident.Neely, who was homeless, died back on May 1 after Penny allegedly held him in a chokehold for several minutes.According to witnesses, Neely was yelling at and harassing passengers on the train before he was subdued by Neely and others, and ultimately died.Manhattan prosecutors say they will bring criminal charges against a man who used a deadly chokehold on an unruly passenger aboard a New York City subway train.The Medical Examiner's office later ruled Neely's death a homicidecaused by compression on the neck.Penny faces a charge of second-degree manslaughter, which could carry a jail term of up to 15 years."Second-degree manslaughter means that they're charging him with having recklessly caused the death. Recklessly means that he was operating with a substantial and justifiable risk of causing death to another person," explained Andrew Cherkasky, a former federal prosecutor."I think that some people are going to be upset about this that it wasn’t more serious.

NEWARK, Del. - A Georgia woman, accused of Cruelty to Animals by Newark, Delaware police, has turned herself in, while a dog in her care died from injuries sustained April 28.Syniah Percell, a 25-year-old Marietta, Georgia resident, turned herself into Newark Police May 9.According to officials, police were called to an apartment on the 100 block of Thorn Lane on the report of an injured dog.A resident left Percell in charge of the resident's Yorkshire Terrier while out of the apartment.When the ower returned home, the dog was "acting strange, walking oddly and had a bruise on its body," police say.MORE HEADLINES:The dog was then taken to a veterinarian and the vet found the dog suffering from severe injuries.During the police investigation, video was found that the friend left in charge, identified as Percell, abused the dog while in her control.The dog died from the injuries sustained.Percell turned herself in and faced a judge by video.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man accused of shooting at another driver during a road rage incident on I-95 was taken into custody on Thursday. Investigators believe Chauncy Salmo Noel was behind the wheel of a white Volvo when he was involved in a dispute with another driver near the Bartram Avenue exit on May 1. During the confrontation, it's alleged that Noel fired one shot that grazed the driver of another vehicle in the arm and continued driving north on I-95 past the Broad Street exit. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe Pennsylvania State Police say they located Noel's Volvo a day later outside a property in Southwest Philadelphia and executed a search warrant on the vehicle. Noel was taken into custody on Thursday after police say investigative efforts identified him as the driver of the Volvo at the time of the shooting. A search warrant of his Southwest Philadelphia property uncovered two pistols and a rifle, according to police. No charges were immediately shared following Noel's arrest.
