Jeremy Schobel, 32, was arrested Wednesday when federal authorities acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children searched his home in Philadelphia. A criminal complaint alleges that Schobel, an English teacher at Harriton High School in Lower Merion, posed as a 17-year-old girl on a social media app called Yubo. Schobel, according to a court documents, was allegedly using the app to find a girl-to-girl relationship and redirecting conversations to Snapchat where he would ask for explicit images. Bass River State Forest fire: Crews responding to fast-moving 3,000-acre wildfire burning in New Jersey

TUCKERTON, NJ - Emergency fire crews are responding to another wildfire burning in New Jersey. According to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, a wildfire is burning in the area of Allen Road in the Bass River State Forest. The fire quickly grew to 3,000 acres in size after forming on Wednesday evening. Visitors and residents have been asked to avoid the area as service crews begin a backfiring operation to contain the spread. Halifax wildfire partially contained, but ‘far from being out of the woods’

wildfire burning in the Halifax area, but officials warn there’s a lot of work left to do.In an update Thursday morning, David Steeves, a technician of forest resources with the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, said the fire in the Tantallon and Hammonds Plains area is about 50 per cent contained.“So that is a little bit of bright news, but that being said, we are far from being out of the woods,” said Steeves.“Just because we do have a level of percentage of containment does not mean that the … importance of safety in this situation has lowered.”The blaze broke out Sunday afternoon in the Tantallon area, about a 30-minute drive from downtown Halifax, and has since grown to about 837 hectares. The fire has destroyed about 200 buildings, including 150 homes, and forced the evacuation of more than 16,400 people.On Wednesday evening, the evacuation order for the Indigo Shores subdivision was lifted.
