Four rushed to hospital after fairground ride 'collapses' as onlookers tell of horror

Four people were hospitalised after a fairground ride reportedly 'collapsed'. The emergency services were called to an incident in Brockwell Park, south London, this evening at about 6.20pm.

Police said no one has been trapped on the ride, which is part of the Lambeth Country Show, My London reported. The conditions of the four people rushed to hospital is still unknown.

Enquiries are underway to establish what happened, and cordons remain in place tonight. The Health & Safety Executive will be informed.

Local residents took to social media after the incident.
