Huge emergency response and bus stop taped off after man injured in knife attack

A bus stop was taped off after a man was slashed in a knife attack in Oldham on Monday night (October 28). A huge emergency response attended the incident on Manchester Road shortly after 8.20pm.

An air ambulance was also scrambled to the scene as multiple police cars and ambulances lined the main road. A bus stop, between Cambridge Street and Derby Street was cordoned off.

Witnesses said there were 'at least ten police cars' in attendance as the victim was seen being treated at the scene by paramedics and wrapped in bandages. The Manchester Evening News understands the victim sustained a laceration to his face after he was attacked with a knife. The pavement was taped off after the incident, along with a bus stop which was also surrounded by police tape.
