Shaughna Phillips, the 30-year-old Love Island alum, has undergone a remarkable transformation. She slimmed down from a size 18 to a size 8 after embarking on a dedicated diet and exercise regimen over a year ago.
She's now radiating happiness and newfound confidence in her skin. But it hasn't been a walk in the park for the reality TV sensation, who's candidly spoken about battling vicious online trolls, embracing motherhood, and managing a chronic condition known as lipoedema, which leads to an unusual accumulation of fat in the legs and sometimes arms. The journey to self-improvement saw Shaughna exploring various avenues to change her looks.
In 2023, the proud mum disclosed to The Sun that she'd splashed out an eye-watering £25,000 on surgery, some of which was "medically needed" to address the fat build-up from her lipoedema. "I had the liposuction on my thighs and on my calves, and I had my boobs done years ago," she shared. "It is a lot of money, but this was just after Love Island, so I think I almost felt like I had to have it done." She admitted feeling pressured by the public eye but also confessed, "I felt everyone was looking at me, but if I had known how painful it was, I may not have done it," reports the Mirror.
Motherhood, however, has brought a shift in Shaughna's perspective. Now a doting parent to little Lucia with partner Billy Webb, she's more inclined to invest in home renovations than "wasting it on surgery".
