TV star James Corden became a real-life hero when he rushed to help a woman who fell while shopping. The actor reportedly dashed to the rescue of a woman who suffered a nasty fall and broke her arm while Christmas shopping in London's West End.The Gavin and Stacey star, aged 46, stepped in to assist the injured shopper after seeing her struggle.
After calling an ambulance and being informed it would take an hour to arrive, James flagged down a black cab to whisk her off to A&E, according to The Sun.
Onlookers were trying to aid the lady, who was out with her family, when Corden asked how he could be of service. An insider revealed to publication: "He was the one who rang 999 but the operator told him they couldn't get an ambulance out for at least 60 minutes." They added that Corden knew the location of the nearest A&E and hailed a taxi "so she wouldn't have to wait around in the cold in pain".The source praised him, saying: "He was an absolute hero.
He just wanted to help her - it was a really nice gesture." Having moved back to Britain earlier this year with his wife Julia Carey and their kids, Corden has spoken about the transition, especially as he wrapped up his time on the Late Late Show, reports the Mirror.
