Kate Garraway has opened up about her health struggles, revealing that she was diagnosed with a thyroid condition after giving birth to her daughter Darcey 18 years ago.
The 57 year old Good Morning Britain host shared her personal story while appearing on designer Sarah Haran's YouTube channel with TV star Anthea Turner. The revelation comes after the sad loss of her husband Derek Draper earlier this year.
Kate explained that she initially had an overactive thyroid, which made her lose weight rapidly: "I've got thyroid problems, I've got the autoimmune thyroid condition.
And it was discovered after I had Darcey, when it went massively overactive and actually I got super skinny. I could literally eat anything and I was thin.
