King Charles, 75, has been pictured arriving at Clarence House in London as he continues his treatment for cancer.The monarch - who has been spending his recuperation time at Sandringham House in Norfolk - arrived back at his home alone as Queen Camilla, 76, begins her well-deserved break from royal duties after stepping up in the King's place.The King's return to the capital comes after the Princess of Wales' first official duty has been confirmed by the Ministry of Defence for June - carrying out the Colonel's Review in her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards on Saturday, 8 June.
Ahead of his return to Clarence House, King Charles was pictured meeting Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt during a pre-budget audience.
Before a Budget is presented, the Chancellor of the Exchequer meets with the monarch, usually the day before the Government’s plans for the economy are delivered in a statement to the Commons.The audience is traditionally a private one, but, this time, the King was photographed shaking hands with Mr Hunt in the Private Audience Room of the royal residence.
King Charles' return to London to continue his treatment also came one day after the Princess of Wales was pictured being driven in Windsor by her mum, Carole Middleton.
