Mia Goth joins the cast of Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’
Christopher Nolan‘s next film, The Odyssey.Already announced for the all-star cast are Nolan’s former collaborators Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, and Robert Pattinson in undisclosed roles.
Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron are also on board, making their first film with the Inception director.Now, per Variety, MaXXXine star Goth has joined the cast for the film, which is based on the epic story by Greek poet Homer, written over 2,000 years ago.
The Odyssey is scheduled for release on July 17 2026.It’s not certain how closely the film will follow the original work, but Universal has promised “a mythic action epic shot across the world”.
The Odyssey is a 24-book saga set over a decade, as Odysseus, king of Ithaca, travels home after the Trojan War.The journey includes many obstacles along the way, including encounters with monsters such as a cyclops, sirens, and a sorceress, all of whom he battles with to get back to his family.It is considered one of the most influential works of all time and adapted to film and TV frequently over the years.
