Grammy winner Michael Bolton has had to cancel his much-anticipated London concert, scheduled for the upcoming summer. The star had previously postponed this performance, which was initially set for July 2024, due to his ongoing recovery from brain surgery that took place in December 2023.At 71-years-old, Bolton shared the unfortunate update via his Instagram story on Friday, explaining that his gig at London's O2 Arena, planned for July 5, 2025, would regrettably be cancelled.
The show aimed to delight fans with a showcase of his greatest hits and had been deferred to July 2025 after its original scheduling in July 2024, reports the Mirror.Addressing his followers directly on Instagram, the “When a Man Loves a Woman” crooner expressed: "Today we are announcing the cancellation of my July 5th concert at the O2 Arena in London."He continued, revealing his current health status: "You all know how much I was looking forward to this show but I am continuing to heal from surgery.
Thank you for all your love and positive energy over this past year. I am so grateful to have the most supportive fans in the world.
Your tickets will automatically be refunded," he concluded his heartfelt message. The news follows an announcement made by Bolton last year on his Instagram, where he informed fans of his need to take a break from performing while focusing on his health.
