The character – who was played by both Laura Donnelly and Kristin Atherton – was invited to North Carolina by Jamie in season 7.

She ends up saying no. In the books by Diana Gabaldon, Jenny actually does say yes to their invite. So, why the change from the books? Matthew shared with TVLine, “The brief was: Nothing that doesn’t affect Jamie and Claire gets in.
