Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan calls for 'murder charges' as man licks toilet during coronavirus challenge

Piers Morgan has slammed people taking part in the " coronavirus challenge," which sees them licking toilets and called for them to be "charged with attempted murder".

Taking to his official Twitter account, the 54-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter quote retweeted a video of a man licking a toilet as part of the gruesome challenge, which has gone viral and has been widely slammed.

In the video, the man walks into what appears to be a public bathroom, leans down next to a toilet and then licks the seat. Clearly licking the seat, the man then looks up and says: "Coronavirus challenge." Sharing the video with his 7.1million followers, Piers wrote above the video: "These people need to be arrested and charged with attempted murder."
