Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has described co-star Kate Garraway as going through a "living hell". The television journalist, 55, has spoken of the difficult situation Kate is facing as her husband Derek Draper remains in a coma as he continues to battle with the coronavirus.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, Piers sent his best wishes and revealed his great admiration for his colleague. Piers said: "We haven't talked about it much because Kate Garraway is going through a living hell like many people. "Her husband has been in a very serious condition for many many weeks.
