Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

PIERS Morgan left Good Morning Britain fans gutted as he and Susanna Reid took a week off. The 55-year-old presenter and Susanna, 44, were missed from the ITV breakfast show today as fans wanted to hear his thoughts on senior government adviser Dominic Cummings breaking his own lockdown rules.

Piers and Susanna revealed on GMB last week that they would not be hosting the show today or the rest of the week - with Piers hinting he might not return.

On Bank Holiday Monday fans wanted to know where the outspoken presenter was, after weeks of him attacking government ministers over their handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
