It's reported that this week's UEFA summit will NOT bring a definitive decision on whether seasons can end early. This week an SPFL resolution to end the lower leagues on the tables as they stand passed, with £2million in prize money paid out to struggling clubs.
The motion also gives the governing body the power to call the Premiership at a later date, which would crown Celtic champions for a ninth season in a row.
UEFA were initially hostile to top flight seasons ending early, even threating European bans for countries that did so.But Ajax director Edwin van der Sar revealed that stance is softening ahead of a video conference this week.
