coronavirus test samples were found on the side of a busy Scots road. A keen-eyed member of the public spotted the Covid-19 kits on the A9 near Tain in the Highlands.
An NHS Highlands spokesman said the samples were being moved Wick's Caithness General Hospital to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness when they ended up at the side of the busy Highlands Road.
The shocked man then handed in the bag to a local police station while the samples have now been moved to their original destination in Inverness.NHS Highland have insisted there was no danger to the public at any point.But a spokeswoman has confirmed they have launched a probe into the incident.
