Scots coronavirus death toll tops 500 as government releases latest national figures

More than 500 people have now died from the coronavirus in Scotland.A total of 542 people have sadly passed away after contracting the illness.This represents an increase of 47 from yesterday.Throughout the NHS Ayrshire & Arran region, a total of 376 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19.This is a rise of 12 from yesterday's report.In Ayrshire, the number of patients in intensive care with confirmed or suspected coronavirus stood at 15 at midnight.Meanwhile, the number of people in hospital with confirmed or suspected coronavirus at midnight was 126.The Scottish Government released its latest sets of figures as part of its daily update this afternoon.Across Scotland, there have been 29,903 tests carried of which 5,590 have returned
