Holiday giant TUI has cancelled all holidays until July 1 and cruises until August, after it had previously said it hoped to resume travel on June 12.

Thousands of Brits set to go away this summer will have to re-think their plans after TUI made the decision to further cancel its package holidays.

Britain’s biggest holiday firm had told customers it hoped to resume travel on June 12, but closures have been extending until 1st July for holidays, and 30th July for cruises.

It comes a week after Boris Johnson announced an isolation period for Brits travelling from abroad to the UK. The Foreign Office is also advising against all non-essential travel abroad, and there is currently no plans to alter these restrictions.
