Wetherspoons ' plans to re-open in June has been branded a "mistake" by the Government. The popular pub chain said yesterday it was beginning to plan for the re-opening of its pubs and hotels "in or around June".
It was forced to shut its doors last month after the country was placed on lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. But the UK's Medical Officer said pubs opening would come "at the very end of the unwinding process".
