Antiques Roadshow's Marc Allum was in for a surprise when he nipped his finger on a guest's penknife during the show's Sunday night episode.
The expert, who used to never leave home without a knife of his own, was examining an impressive 48-piece penknife that made his own look rather inferior.
He confessed to the guest, "So I am a bit of a boy scout really." As he delved into the details, Marc couldn't help but express his admiration: "And I wouldn't dream of going out on any given day without my own multi-tool which I literally use on a daily basis, this one knocks mine into an absolute cocked hat, doesn't it." He was eager to learn more about the extraordinary item, asking the owner: "It is the most exceptional multi-tool I have seen for a long time.
Please tell me where it comes from," to which the guest could only share that it was acquired by their father without knowing its history.
