Nabil Fekir has reportedly told Real Betis of his transfer plans amid interest from Arsenal in the midfielder. But it's not good news for Mikel Arteta's side - or any of their rivals in the pursuit for the France star.

Fekir was close to joining Liverpool from Lyon last summer, but the deal collapsed as the Reds had concerns over the France international's injury record.

He ended up joining Real Betis for £17million - a third of what Liverpool had been set to pay for him - and has gone on to score seven goals and post six assists in 22 La Liga appearances.

His form led Arsenal to make an approach to Betis over the 26-year-old, according to the Daily Star. But Marca reports that Fekir has told the La Liga club he wants to stay.
