Amy Dowden was seen beaming as she made another step towards returning to the dancefloor. The Strictly Come Dancing star was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year and underwent a mastectomy before eight rounds of chemotherapy treatment.

After doctors changed her course of treatment upon doctors finding another type of cancer, it meat that she wasn't able to make a swift return to the BBC One dance contest like she had hoped.

Despite the setback, Amy bravely faced eight rounds of chemo and multiple complications before ringing the bell to signal the end of her treatment.

And last week, the Welsh star told her Instagram followers on Friday (February 23) that there was now 'no evidence of disease' and that it was 'time to look ahead'.
