The question of whether Celtic will be awarded the Premiership title is once again up in the air as Italy, the country worst hit by the coronavirus, confirms that Serie A will resume when it's safe to do so.
As revealed by an SPFL summit next week will discuss whether or not to follow Belgium’s lead and declare the football season over.
And it's understood that if that protocol is followed then Celtic will be declared champions, rather than the entire campaign being voided.
However, UEFA has instructed domestic leagues that the season must be played to completion or clubs risk being barred from Europe for 2020-21.
