Piers Morgan has slammed Miriam Margolyes for wanting Prime Minister Boris Johnson to die when his health worsened following his Covid-19 diagnosis.
The famously outspoken actress, 78, made the remarks on The Last Leg and didn't hold back her disdain for Boris – but her comments didn't go down well with the TV presenter.
Speaking on Tuesday's episode of Good Morning Britain, he said: "Shame on you Miriam Margolyes. Shame on you. If someone said on this show 'I wished he’d died', I’d have ripped him, but no one said anything. "It’s not funny what Boris went through personally on that ICU." And it wasn't just Piers who was left enraged by the star's comments as Ofcom received nearly 250 complaints from viewers.
