He was tested for COVID-19, and forced off of GMB for a whole week. Piers made his big return on Monday, and got straight back to clashing with MPs over the ongoing pandemic.
On the show on Tuesday, Piers and co-host Susanna Reid were debating a recent incident involving actress Miriam Margolyes. Ofcom received over 240 complaints, when she appeared on The Last Leg and made a comment about prime minister Boris Johnson.
