Scots rugby legend Doddie Weir has demanded that people living with Motor Neurone Disease are added to the most vulnerable persons list during the coronavirus pandemic.
The former Scotland international, who has been living with MND since 2017, released a video plea on Twitter on Wednesday. In the video, the 55-year-old asks Tory Health Secretary Matt Hancock why people with the degenerative and terminal condition are not included on the list of extremely vulnerable people.
People with severe respiratory conditions or certain forms of cancer are among those eligible for support under the UK Government’s strategy for shielding against Covid-19.
