Fly-tipping levels soared across Scotland during the lockdown with mountains of rubbish dumped by litter louts. The closure of council-run recycling centres resulted in beauty spots becoming an unsuspecting victim of Covid-19 as Scots found illegal ways to get rid of their waste.
But the Scottish Government last week announced that dumps could begin reopening on June 1, much to the relief of frustrated householders.
