What schools look like today as many open doors with coronavirus lockdown easing

Today, June 1, schools will start to reopen as part of the easing of the lockdown rules in England. From today, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 students will return after schools shut in a bid to tackle the spread of coronavirus.

But as part of the phased reopening of schools, staff and pupils will have to abide by strict social distancing rules. Following Prime Minister Boris Johnson ’s statement, schools have been planning in order to get them ready.

Here we take a look at some of the ways schools have changed in order to reopen today. For example, Caldecote Community Primary School in Braunstone, Leicester, have set out 23 socially distanced classrooms for pupils.
