Gavin & Stacey star reveals the cast who will be returning for the final episode - with two fan favourites reunited

Fans were delighted to hear that a final episode of Gavin & Stacey will be bursting back onto our screens for a Christmas special this year.

James Corden, who stars in the show and co-writes it alongside Ruth Jones, took to social media to share the exciting yet slightly sad news that this special will be the beloved comedy's final curtain call.

It's been a whole five years since we saw our favourite characters, and the last time they were on our screens, Nessa (Ruth Jones) left us all gasping as she got down on one knee for Smithy (James Corden) only for the scene to cut before we got his answer.

Alison Steadman, who plays the iconic role of Pam Shipman, is just as thrilled about the reunion as we are and spilled the beans on the upcoming special.
