Woman, 89, remains in hospital as police continue to hunt driver after horror hit and run outside Asda

An 89-year-old woman who was left seriously injured after being hit by a SUV in a horror hit and run remains in hospital, with police continuing to hunt the driver responsible.

The elderly victim, who was a pedestrian, was found lying in the road seriously hurt after being struck down by the 'large vehicle' on Moss Bank Way, Bolton, on Saturday (June 15).

Emergency services raced to the scene, close to the junction of Hillview Road, after the 89-year-old woman was found in the road at around 10.10am.
