A woman who lost her brother coronavirus on Christmas Eve says she is left eating beans on toast after discovering her turkey was rotten.
Sara Revell, from Folkestone, Kent, had been looking forward to a glimmer of happiness after heartbreaking news. She told the Mirror she lost her sibling yesterday after her mother died with Covid-19 at the peak of the UK lockdown.
She was one of many who have complained today of opening up their Christmas turkey to make dinner todays, only to met with a "horrendous" smell.
Sara described how her disappointmen at the ruined Lidl turkey felt like just one more insult in a year of tragedy, as she attempted to have some semblance of a Christmas while grieving during Kent's Tier 4 restrictions.
