A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An investigation is under way following a report of a disturbance in Rutherglen. Around 5.35pm, police were called to Main Street, Rutherglen where a group of people were involved in a disturbance. “A 54-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and a 44-year-old man was treated at the scene. “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” *Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
