For most couples, engagements are a time for celebration, usually surrounded by those we love most. Whether it be a party or a fancy meal, they often take months of careful planning to ensure the day is one to remember.

For one Salford pair, their engagement was certainly memorable – but not for reasons they would have liked. Craig Moran popped the question to his now-fiancé Lisa Potts on March 21.
