Kate Middleton is reportedly “relying on” her nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who charges up to £120,000 for an overseas placement, as she recovers from her unannounced abdominal surgery.The nanny, who has worked with the Prince and Princess of Wales for over a decade, will provide a vital service as Kate recovers over the next few weeks.
According to the Daily Express, Ms Borrallo has provided an essential service to raising the young royals, and a royal commentator previously claimed that she will have a major impact on their lives in the future.
Pauline Maclaran claimed to the publication: “I think royal nannies play important roles in the lives of royal children. Apart from looking after their everyday needs and security, they can also offer a lot of support in developing the children’s cognitive and social skills”.
Kensington Palace released a statement on Wednesday afternoon where they revealed Kate’s surgery was “successful”.They said: “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to hospital yesterday for planned abdominal surgery.The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery.
