Man in hospital after being found 'naked and blood-soaked' outside Ayrshire flats

A man has been rushed to hospital after being found 'covered in blood and naked' outside a home in Ayrshire. Emergency services raced to Caledonian Road in Stevenston at around 7.45am on Sunday.Ambulance crews attended and the man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

His condition is currently unknown.Local reports suggest he was found by a resident behind a block of flats. A source told the Record: "The man was found naked and covered in blood in communal gardens at the back of a block of flats."Then two police cars and a van turned up with an ambulance.

The ambulance left with sirens on at 8.40am this morning."One photo taken from the scene shows two uniformed officers standing guard outside a property which was cordoned off on the road.

Police say their enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45am on Sunday, June 2, 2024, we were made aware of a man found injured outside a property on Caledonian Road, Stevenston.“Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
