Manchester United will start delivering 60,000 meals to NHS staff across the city on Friday as part of the battle against Covid-19.

The meals will be dispatched from Old Trafford as part of a joint initiative between the United, the Manchester United Foundation, Mealforce and the club's catering suppliers.

The food will be delivered free-of-charge across four sites in Manchester as part of the ongoing effort to tackle the killer pandemic.

NHS staff based at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, who would normally have to provide their own meals while working, will benefit from the service.
