Martin Kemp's wife Shirlie has broken her silence as she enjoyed her garden, following Martin's shock health confession. Shirlie, 62, took to Instagram to share a video of the flowers in her garden bathed in sunlight, but she chose not to add a caption.

She also added on Wednesday 1, May that she was suffering with her health too. She said: "I've had a cough for over a month and told it's a 100 day cough." Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp recently revealed to his son, former Capital Radio Breakfast host Roman Kemp, that he thinks he may only have a decade left to live.

The popular father-and-son duo have just launched their new podcast - FFS! My dad Is Martin Kemp - and kicking off the series, 62-year-old Martin and Roman, 31, tackled the heavy subject of death head-on.

With a no-holds-barred attitude, Martin told his son that he thinks he only has around a decade left alive, as he said: "10 years, I don't know".

Once they had adjusted to the initial shock, they treated the ordeal as a project: "That's what we did really, once we got over the initial shock, we just really kind of focused on it as a project we had to deal with and it's a b****y awful operation." Despite the gut-wrenching diagnosis, Gabby showed remarkable resilience, revealing that deep down, she was certain she "wasn't going to lose her husband, who is also the father of her two children. As she shared stories about how this formidable challenge had actually strengthened their bond, with Kenny proving to be an incredible "rock" throughout the journey, the normally composed sportscaster was moved to tears.
