Max George has shared an update on his health following a second heart surgery.The 36 year old first had a pacemaker fitted in December after being rushed to A&E with suspected heart issues.

However, in recent days he revealed that he had to return to the hospital for a second operation. On Instagram, Max revealed that he's been having a "pretty rough time." In a post shared today, he first posted a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed with headphones on, surrounded by wires and monitors.

He then shared a picture of himself in a bathroom post-surgery, showing off a fresh scar on his chest beneath a tattoo of his late The Wanted bandmate Tom Parker's date of birth.

Max wrote: "A few weeks ago I had to go back into hospital after having some physical symptoms in my chest. It turned out that one of the leads was placed too far into my heart.The second surgery took about 2 hours.
