Max George from The Wanted has shared an update from his hospital bed after he was taken in feeling "really unwell" earlier this week.

With the 36 year old singer admitted on Wednesday, tests have revealed "some issues" with his heart that may require further investigation and surgery.

He managed to share a video on his Instagram stories though, seemingly weak yet cheerfully rallying his football team, Manchester City, for their upcoming match against Manchester United.

His heartfelt message declared, "So I think they are officially trying to kill me off. Come on boys – we better win on Sunday!" Max even highlighted his dedication to the game as his medical chart was visible, labelled 'what matters to me most today', with "Seeing the Man City game" inscribed as his priority.
