Michael Gove has hit back at claims that the Prime Minister Boris Johnson skipped coronavirus planning meetings as 'grotesque'.

A damning report in the Sunday Times newspaper describes Mr Johnson's government as having been complacent in its planning for the spread of Covid-19 in the UK.

It is claimed Mr Johnson missed five of the government's COBRA meetings as the coronavirus crisis gathered pace.
